So I didn’t realize just how many of my favorite preschool crafts use paper plates, but as you can see, it’s a lot. Preschool Art Projects That Use Paper Plates For more everyday learning, check out my new book – Everyday Preschool! The best thing about these crafts is that they use everyday materials you may already have at home or in your classroom. Here are my favorite 35 preschool crafts that I have used at home and with students. Crafts aren’t art, but they aren’t the enemy either. If you scroll back on my site, you’ll see my now teenager and me crafting together when he was just a toddler. ![]() When done at home with a loving adult, it’s also a special together time. These preschool crafts work on fine motor development and skills like color and shape recognition and can help support other lessons at preschool. That said, crafting is hugely beneficial when it’s added to a curriculum with ample opportunity to create and explore art. Kids need to explore and create art freely with access to lots of materials and wide-open boundaries, where they focus on the process, not the product. I love preschool crafts and art projects but there is a huge debate in the preschool world about using crafts. The fact that the Bronica is old is no reason why it cannot be used with a DB. The Kapturegroup adapters price was something like 800USD I believe (I see them on Ebay very rarely). Don't expect to get anything into the exif data. You would trigger the back by means of the flash sync (out from your body/lens, in the back). It can be no more than tightening or loosening some screws. I have had to do this with various other systems, it sounds harder than it is in reality. This is theory and in practice this can vary sometimes which means you might have to shim (thin plates or alu foil between the back/adapter/body. The adapterplate is made thus that focussing is unaffected. Indeed it is an adapter to mount a V back onto a Bronica. Kapturegroup used to have a Bronica ETRSi adapter as well ( Kapturegroup). I have never used a Bronica with Digital Back but a friend of mine has one and has the same plan though he never seems to get around trying to do so. So, can a modern digital back be fitted onto something as old and manual as an ETRSi? If so what type and how? What sort of results would I obtain from such an old system? Bare in mind that I’m in the UK. Lens used aperture used metering pattern used shutter speed used wind speed and direction don’t really matter because it’s the photo that counts. Do I mind that an EXIF file isn’t filled with the amount of data that these things can produce? No because the data can be edited in Lightroom or whatever if I really need it, as long as it can show me the date taken then I’ll be happy. I doubt some of this software has even heard the name Bronica let alone knows what to do with it. Then it comes to software? It seems that some of the software for these backs want to know so much about the camera and lens system they are attached to you can almost hear wedding bells. Would it be possible to take a P20 or whatever Refurbished and put it on the back of a Bronica? If so what would it need in the way of cabling to actually work? Or any other make of back for that matter. This is where it gets confusing again, I’ve heard of duel cable releases and wake up cables, cables that attach to the flash synch socket and so on. With a digital back these pins and gears will be useless because everything is electronic so some sort of cable must be used. On the Bronica it is all done with pins and wind on gears going into the film back so the film back knew what was happening. Then comes the question of how the back knows you actually want to take a photo, in the film days it was remove dark slide shoot wind on next frame ready to be exposed, shoot wind on and so on. So I take it the back would have to be a V fitting type back to fit? But wouldn’t this affect the focusing? If the back thinks it’s going on the back of a Hasselblad then the plane of focus would be for a Hasselblad, if you introduce an adapter plate into the equation wouldn’t that shift the plane of focus out because of the thickness of the plate? So what you’re focusing on in the viewfinder will be slightly different at the actual sensor location? Does this make sense? ![]() What it seems to do is act as a Hasselblad type attachment, would this be the V fitting? I take it it’s trying to make the fittings on the back think it’s attaching to a nice Hasselblad instead of a small ETRSi. ![]() It seems different backs need different methods to work. Silvestri have one listed here in the UK for the Bronica, but that’s it, nothing about any cabling or triggering methods needed. Then you hear adapter plates been mentioned either by the back maker themselves or third party. I’ve seen so many different backs been used here, some on brand new camera systems, some on older systems and the imagery just blows you away, then when you look at the list of supported systems it just gets confusing. ![]() Would I like to be able to shoot digital with it? Yes, at moment finances are stretched and I’m just an amateur user in the UK but would love to know more about digital medium format. At present I scan my film using a Nikon Coolscan 8000 ED. Lenses range from 40mm to 500mm (about the size and weight of a bazooka). So none of the latest multi this or that. I meter either using a Minolta Flash Meter IV or using an AE-III prism which has full-area average metering, spot metering and manual. It doesn’t have any special bells and whistles it’s even got twisty rings on the lenses for altering the aperture and focusing. Right I have a Bronica ETRSi, ok ok I know it’s old, but I like the way it works and feels. ![]() Now we have our shelf brackets, it’s time to make the shelves! ![]() (Top tip – to save money on small projects like this, use tester-pots of paint rather than forking out on full-sized tins!) How to Make Industrial Scaffold Shelves I’ve used some 120-grit sandpaper for this and then finished with a coloured coat in the colour ‘Peacock’ from Ronseal Garden’s Range*. Once the glue has dried, you can lightly sand your brackets with a sander, then prime and paint them. Repeat the same process above for the middle crosspiece of timber, although this time you will need to drill and screw at a slight angle to work with the angle it needs fixing at.Īnd voila – you should now have one solid shelf bracket! Repeat these steps for as many shelf brackets as you need. Next, apply some wood glue* to the join and screw your pieces together one at a time, using your clamps as a third hand. Once your holes have been pre-drilled, you can use a countersink bit to make sure your screw-heads will sit flush on the wood. These will ensure the wood doesn’t split when you screw them together. You can then clamp one piece in place at a time and drill some pilot holes. These are the measurements for our brackets, however, yours may need to be smaller/larger than this depending on the depth of your shelf. To make one shelf bracket, you’ll need to cut three pieces of timber to size. You want your brackets to cover at least three-quarters of the width of your shelf, however, for heavy-duty use, I’d personally always go longer (as you’ll see we have!). This measurement will determine how wide the brackets need to be. This means our shelves will be around 33cm deep. We’ll be using one full scaffold plank and then half a plank which we’ll achieve by cutting a plank lengthways down the centre. Step One – Cut Your Timbers To Sizeįirst of all, you’ll need to decide how deep you want your shelves to be. Standard scaffold brackets would only fit 1 single scaffold plank depth, so making our own has allowed us to customise our sizes. You’ll see in this tutorial our shelves are 1 and a half scaffold planks deep. If you’re on a budget like us, making your own shelf brackets can save you A LOT! It also allows you to make shelves to any depth you require. You can of course buy pre-made shelf brackets for scaffold boards, however, these can be quite pricey. To make the brackets for our scaffold shelves, we’re going to be using these roof battens*, however, you can use any similar-sized piece of timber (25mm x 38mm). Now, I live in Brooklyn, and we are a spoiled people. Sometimes sweet potato butter and pecans. There are certain things I always buy when I go home. I keep seeing that scene from My Cousin Vinny in my head where Joe Pesci discounts a witness because he is Southern and says it took him 5 minutes to make grits for his breakfast. Any self-respecting Southerner knows that in order to consider your grits GRITS, they should be stone-ground and take an hour minimum to cook perfectly. Now, if you know anything about the South, you know that grits are serious business. I had a super intense okra craving yesterday, and my market happened to have a nice, fresh looking stack! HOORAY! One of the lesser known items were the two print novels for Shadow Warrior. They were titled “ For Dead Eyes Only” and “ You Only Die Twice“, both of which were parodies of Ian Fleming James Bond novels. Written by Dean Wesley Smith & Ryan Hughes respectively, these two novels were released in October of 1997. These two books are long out of print, but if you want to try your hand at the used market, they are still listed on. ![]() Check out the links above.īack in the day, 3D Realms harnessed their legacy as a shareware game publisher, and made the first chapter of “For Dead Eyes Only” available for free on their website. Here are a couple of pictures of my old copy of the books – this is a new picture, was taken on May 13, 2017. They’ve held up not too bad over the last 20 years. There’s one that is a straight up walkthrough, and a second that shows you were all the secrets are. You can visit these on the old 3D Realms Legacy Website. The walkthrough is here, and the secrets list is here. The registered CD version of the game came with CD audio – at the time also something not done much. I also have several Scouts on that side to test the strengths of my opponent's pieces, making sure my Colonel and Major are not taken by surprise. The right side is rather weak, however, that is countered by the placement of the Bombs preventing any aggressive horizontal movement. The Bombs in the center are used to force play to the sides. The Flag is very well protected by the Marshal on one side and by a Colonel on the other. Scouts are placed at the front to test the opponent's defense and then in the back as reserves where they can become very useful in the endgame. This is a variation of the Shoreline Bluff. Best Setups of a former World Champion Player When all 104 cards are removed (as separate King to Ace sequences), you win the game. If a whole sequence is formed in one of the columns it is removed from the tableau completely. Your goal when playing Spider solitaire free online is to build stacks of cards on the tableau forming descending suit sequences (from King to Ace). The remaining cards are placed in the stock at the lower right of the layout (face down). In each column, all of the cards are placed face down except for the last one which is upturned. After shuffling, a tableau is set up of a total of 54 cards, placed into ten columns.
